1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out the standards of conduct expected of all users of the Only Farmers platform ("Platform"), whether you are a Farmer, Guest, or Visitor. It is incorporated by reference into the Only Farmers Terms & Conditions.
Breach of this Policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination in accordance with Section 14 of the Terms & Conditions.
2. General Conduct
All users must:
- Act honestly and in good faith in all interactions on the Platform.
- Treat other users, Farmers, Guests, and Only Farmers staff with respect and courtesy.
- Comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to the Equality Act 2010, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Online Safety Act 2023, and the UK GDPR.
- Provide accurate information when registering, creating Listings, making Bookings, or communicating through the Platform.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Platform to:
3.1 Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Create a false or misleading account, Listing, or Booking.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.
- Submit false insurance certificates, safety documentation, or regulatory licences.
- Submit fraudulent Damage Reports or chargeback claims.
- Use stolen or unauthorised payment methods.
3.2 Harassment and Discrimination
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate any user.
- Discriminate against any person on the basis of a Protected Characteristic (as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
- Use hate speech or language that promotes violence or hostility toward any group.
- Stalk, follow, or persistently contact a user after being asked to stop.
3.3 Harmful, Illegal, or Unsafe Content
- Upload, share, or transmit content that is sexually explicit, graphically violent, or promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Upload, share, or transmit content that involves, depicts, or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any such content will be reported to the Internet Watch Foundation and the National Crime Agency.
- Upload, share, or transmit content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
- Upload, share, or transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
- Upload, share, or transmit content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights.
- Promote or facilitate illegal activity of any kind.
3.4 Platform Integrity
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature of the Platform.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform without prior written consent.
- Manipulate the review system, including incentivising, purchasing, or retaliating against reviews.
- Create multiple accounts to evade a suspension, ban, or other restriction.
- Interfere with the performance or availability of the Platform for other users.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
3.5 Off-Platform and Commercial Misuse
- Solicit, encourage, or facilitate Off-Platform Transactions for experiences, stays, or events (as defined in the Terms & Conditions).
- Contact users for commercial purposes unrelated to a Booking, purchase, or job opportunity, including unsolicited marketing, recruitment for non-Platform purposes, or sales.
- Use the Platform to collect personal data about other users for any purpose not authorised by the Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy.
- Advertise or promote third-party products, services, or platforms through Listings, reviews, messages, or any other content, except through the marketplace features provided.
3.6 Jobs Board Misuse
- Post fraudulent, misleading, or fictitious Job Postings.
- Offer work that is illegal, exploitative, or that pays below the applicable National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.
- Discriminate against applicants on the basis of any Protected Characteristic.
- Require applicants to pay a fee, deposit, or advance payment as a condition of work.
- Use the jobs board for purposes unrelated to agricultural or rural work.
- Confiscate or retain a worker's identity documents, travel documents, or personal property.
3.7 Marketplace Misuse
- List counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, recalled, or prohibited goods.
- Misrepresent the condition, quality, origin, or specifications of a product.
- Fail to dispatch a product within the stated timeframe or fail to honour a confirmed sale.
- Manipulate product reviews or ratings.
- Sell alcohol, raw milk, or age-restricted products in breach of applicable licensing or safety requirements.
- Use the marketplace to launder money or facilitate any financial crime.
4. Reporting Violations
If you witness or experience a violation of this Policy, report it through the in-app reporting tools or by contacting safety@onlyfarmers.co.uk. Reports involving content that endangers children should be flagged immediately.
Only Farmers will review all reports and may take action including content removal, account warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination. Where required by law, we will report content to the relevant authorities.
We will not disclose the identity of the reporter to the reported user unless required to do so by law or a court order.
5. Consequences
Violations of this Policy may result in one or more of the following actions, at Only Farmers' discretion:
- Removal of specific content.
- A formal warning to the user.
- Temporary suspension of the user's account.
- Permanent termination of the user's account.
- Cancellation of pending Bookings and refund to affected Guests.
- Recovery of Service Fees or other amounts owed.
- Reporting to law enforcement, regulators, or other relevant authorities.
Users whose accounts are terminated under this Policy may appeal in accordance with Section 14 of the Terms & Conditions.
